Proven Reliability For Your Data

Product spread
FreeWave radios provide unsurpassed performance and dependability through superior design, construction and testing. The ability of the Norman Bragar Company's Engineering team to utilize receivers with sensitivity near the theoretical limit gives the extra range needed for our design applications. This works in conjunction with superior rejection of undesired signals to assure our radios will work in crowded locations, especially multiple master sites that cause lesser products to fail. No other manufacturer makes a radio that can match the low power consumption achieved by our units. Extremely tight integration of firmware and hardware enables the highest, most reliable data throughput.

Dependability is built in from the beginning by assembling all products in our plant with the most accurate and reliable assembly machines available today. This rock-solid beginning is followed by a series of manual and automatic tests to ensure all units surpass our demanding specifications. Every radio produced must pass through our environmental chambers where it is subjected to the extreme temperature ranges we specify. Real world RF link and data tests are then performed to make the process complete.

Application Interface Radio
Power industry Mirrored bits SEL mirrored bits radio.
US Commercial Ethernet interface Ethernet radio.
Serial interface (TTL, RS232, RS485...) You have a choice between the 900 MHz and the 2.4 GHz series.
We suggest that you use 900 MHz, because at 2.4 GHz there's more attenuation and achieving line-of-sight is even more important. Therefore, for a given antenna gain, you can achieve longer links at 900 MHz. Also, the 900 MHz radios have more features than the 2.4 GHz radios. The industry is moving to 2.4 GHz because the 900 MHz band is becoming crowded; however, this is less of a concern for FreeWave radios (than it is for our competitors), because FreeWave radios are hardly affected by interference at 900 MHz. On the other side, if you prefer to operate at 2.4 GHz, FreeWave offers a full line of 2.4 GHz radios.
