bulletioDisplay, an intuitive HMI package for building operator interfaces for your Microsoft® Windows®-based clients communicating with a SNAP-LCE controller or SNAP Ultimate I/O system. For just $99 per seat, ioDisplay offers a full-featured HMI including alarming, trending, and a built-in library of 3,000 industrial automation graphics.
bulletioManager™, a utility application included free with any SNAP Ultimate, SNAP Ethernet, or SNAP Simple I/O brain and any SNAP-LCE controller. Use ioManager to assign IP addresses, configure I/O points and I/O unit features, and inspect, read from, or write to I/O units in real time. For multiple I/O units that use the same configuration, configure all I/O units simultaneously
bulletOptoOPCServer, a fast, efficient OLE for Process Control (OPC) 2.0-compliant server for exchanging data with SNAP Ethernet-based products.

See the ioProject 5.1a Release Notes for more information. (Form 1474, pdf)

You can purchase the ioProject software suite in two ways:

bulletioProject as a download, including documentation in Adobe Acrobat PDF format
bulletioProject on a CD, with documentation in PDF and complete printed documentation

ioControl is a graphical, flowchart-based programming tool for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition applications. Using ioControl, you create, download, and run control programs on a SNAP-LCE industrial controller or on a SNAP Ultimate I/O controller/brain.

In addition to its flowchart-based programming that lets you write control strategies visually, key features that make ioControl easy to use include:

bulletA Strategy Tree that provides a graphical view of your entire control system configuration, including I/O points, variables, and PID loops
bulletOptoScript, a powerful scripting language within ioControl whose syntax is based on C and other common procedural languages
bulletAn animated debugger for stepping through a control program in real time.

New features in ioControl version R5.1a include:

bulletSupport for the new SNAP-LCE controller
bulletSupport for up to 16 PID (proportional-integral-derivative) control loops with 4 different PID algorithm choices: velocity, ISA, parallel, or interacting
bulletMany new ioControl commands for PID, messaging, communications, and error handling

Try ioControl for yourself. Click here to download.

ioControl has a similar look and feel to Opto 22’s established OptoControl™ flowchart-based development environment and will be familiar to OptoControl users. However, ioControl is designed for use solely with SNAP Ultimate I/O systems and SNAP-LCE industrial controllers; it cannot use control strategies developed in OptoControl.

ioControl is included in the purchase price of any SNAP-LCE controller or SNAP Ultimate controller/brain.

ioDisplay is a human-machine interface (HMI) package for building operator interfaces to communicate with SNAP-LCE controllers and SNAP Ultimate I/O controller/brains. ioDisplay offers a full-featured HMI including alarming, trending, security, and a built-in library of 3,000 industrial automation graphics. Updated with a fast, new multithreaded scanning engine, ioDisplay version 5.1 is significantly faster than previous versions.

ioManager, part of the ioProject software suite, is a utility application used to assign IP addresses to SNAP-LCE controllers and SNAP Ethernet-based I/O units, and to configure I/O points and I/O unit features. If you have multiple I/O units that use the same configuration, ioManager lets you configure all I/O units simultaneously. In addition, you can inspect, read from, or write to I/O units in real time.

ioManager is included with your purchase of any SNAP Ultimate, SNAP Ethernet, or SNAP Simple I/O brain or any SNAP-LCE controller. The software and documentation are on the CD that came with the brain or controller.

You can also download ioManager, by itself or as part of the ioProject software suite.

OptoOPCServer is a fast, efficient OPC 2.0-compliant server for exchanging data between Ethernet-based systems running ioControl strategies and other OPC clients.

bulletExchange data with PCs on an Ethernet network running OPC clients such as Microsoft® products, third-party packages, and custom applications you create with tools such as Visual C++®.
bulletEasily build OPC databases by dragging and dropping data from ioProject control and configuration files. Use many kinds of data: flowcharts in the ioControl strategy, I/O units and points, PID loops, and all strategy variables.
bulletAlso exchange strategy variable data with Ethernet-based FactoryFloor systems running OptoControl strategies.

In addition, for applications where multiple PCs are running the same or different copies of ioDisplay, OptoOPCServer works closely with ioDisplay to provide fast data scanning.
