Conax Buffalo Technologies introduces Sterisensor™, a new chamber/load temperature sensor, thermocouple or RTD, assembly designed to withstand the environmental conditions found in pharmaceutical autoclave chambers. Sterisensor features a moisture seal engineered to prevent the ingress of moisture into the assembly. Moisture is the leading cause of failure in these applications. Sterisensor uses PTFE-insulated stranded leadwire conductors with a thick-walled extruded silicone rubber jacket encased in a 316SST sheath. It operates in the temperature range of -50° C to +150° C (-58° F to +302° F) and pressure range from vacuum to 3.5 bar (50 psig). Thermocouple Type T or RTD, 100ohm @ 0° C, l00385 ohm/ohm/°C calibrations are available, in a variety of sensor lengths and diameters configured to meet application requirements. Custom assemblies are also available. Conax Buffalo Technologies also offers an extensive selection of standard and custom-engineered temperature sensor calibrations and configurations, sheath materials, terminal heads in various types, materials, and mounting styles to create the ideal assembly for your requirements. Every Conax sensor delivers rugged, reliable service with accurate, precision performance at off-the-shelf pricing and turn-around times. |

SNAP Ultimate I/O - Overview
A major leap
forward in the evolution of I/O, SNAP Ultimate I/O™ from Opto 22 is the most
intelligent and powerful I/O system available. Building upon our position as an
industry leader and our history of quality, innovation, and reliability, SNAP
Ultimate I/O extends the capabilities of the technology and brings advanced
functionality to your control applications.
Based on Opto 22’s proven SNAP Ethernet I/O™ system, SNAP Ultimate I/O represents a convergence of technologies by successfully combining I/O control functions, Ethernet networking and enterprise connectivity into a single, cohesive system.
With SNAP Ultimate I/O, additional control has been embedded into the I/O itself, creating a localized, less complex, and more distributed I/O architecture that delivers the efficiency and flexibility needed to significantly improve your control applications and capabilities. The added memory, processing power, and programmability that SNAP Ultimate I/O provides allows you to remove unnecessary layers and components from your control system architecture, making it more streamlined, less complex, easier to maintain, and less expensive.
| SNAP Ultimate I/O is compatible with legacy SNAP I/O™ racks and modules, offering you the opportunity to significantly increase the performance and functionality of your control systems without having to replace or rewire existing SNAP I/O racks, modules, and power supplies. |
SNAP Ultimate I/O Features
SNAP Ultimate I/O - Enterprise Connectivity
While providing world
class I/O, control programming capabilities, and networkability, SNAP Ultimate
I/O™ also delivers enterprise connectivity.
Attached to your Ethernet network, SNAP Ultimate I/O can communicate with all your database, MRP, ERP, network management, and other enterprise applications in a way they understand—XML for data transfer, SNMP for network management, and SMTP for e-mail—without special software, proprietary servers, or other middleware components.
Now you get world-class I/O, distributed control with advanced programmability, Ethernet networking, and enterprise connectivity in one complete system. SNAP Ultimate I/O eliminates unnecessary layers and components from your control system architectures, making them simpler, easier to maintain, and less expensive.

Industrial Networking Equipment Now Available
We are pleased to announce our relationship with N-TRON, The Industrial Network Company. N-TRON provides a family of Ethernet Switches that can be installed directly in industrial environments. You will no longer have to drop individual wiring to each station, build climate-controlled enclosures to house your network equipment, or utilize commercial equipment environments for which it was not designed.
N-TRON Products are ideal for the interconnection; Industrial PC's, Programmable Logic Controllers, Ethernet I/O, Distributed Control Systems.
All N-TRON switches are housed in steel rugged enclosures, designed to withstand the most demanding industrial applications, and have been fully tested and certified at industrial environmental extremes. The most common industrial packages are available, including; DIN-Rail, Panel Mount and Rackmount.

Softlogic Support Now Available for SNAP Ethernet I/O System
For the first time, you can take advantage of the power of SNAP Ethernet I/O to perform distributed control of your processes. Opto 22 has partnered with Norman Bragar Company, a provider of IEC 1131-3-based control software, to offer softlogic support for the Opto 22 SNAP-83300-ENET Ethernet I/O system. Now you can build control applications in familiar IEC 1131-3 languages and can execute those applications at the SNAP Ethernet I/O system level to provide distributed, high-speed, local control. In addition to standard IEC 1131-3 functions, including PID, you can access a full set of math functions and can constrict your own custom function blocks in either structured text or ladder logic. You can build your control application using familiar point-and-click ladder logic on a Microsoftâ Windows -based PC using PSAs Process Automation Workbench, AnchorPAW. The applications can be instantly downloaded via Ethernet to the Opto 22 SNAP Ethernet processor where the AnchorPLC softlogic runtime system where the SNAP-B3000-ENET executes the program in real time. Control variables can he accessed via Modbus/TCP for industrial connectivity. On-line monitoring can be enabled through the Ethernet network, while Opto 22s Web server capability is still available to support your Web-based requirements. The AnchorPLC softlogic system supports all Opto 22 SNAP I/0â modules. For more information, please call or email our office. |
The award-winning SNAP Ethernet I/O system provides the most versatile, cost-effective Industrial automation solution available and is now more powerful than ever! An array of new enhancements, previously available on a project basis, will become part of the standard SNAP Ethernet I/O offering. Highlights of these new features are:
Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) support
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support
Expanded support for configuring events and their reactions
Support for eXtensible Markup Language (XML)
Support for wireless protocols such as Handheld Device Markup Language (HDML)
Wireless Markup Language (WML) for use with Web-capable cellular phones
I/O
data mirroring capabilitiesThese flash firmware enhancements are compatible with existing SNAP Ethernet I/O systems and will be available at no extra charge.

the Fast Ethernet Rail Switches allow you to configure medium to large sized deterministic Ethernet/Fast Ethernet networks easily and cost-effectively. An important feature of the Rail Switches is the fast media redundancy. The failure of a transmission path will be recognized in less than 300ms and the Rail Switch will divert data to a redundant path. You can activate this function via DIP switches on any Rail Switch.
Rail Switches RS2 also contain an SNMP management agent and integrated web-based management. These features provide you with simple, east-to-use configuration function for fast installation and setup. Extensive network and device information also contribute to ultimate system reliability.
